Sono Kimono offers vintage Kimonos, Haori jackets, Obi belts, and accessories, as well as Group or Private kimono lessons and rentals.

During the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, its founder Robyn was unable to work full-time, and wanted to get back into a hobby that sparked joy for her when she was younger. She began to study how to wear and style kimonos with a licensed kimono teacher in Japan.

Exploring the depth and breadth of the history and culture of kimono, Robyn knew she would want to share these beautiful garments with others. This hobby quickly evolved into a business that includes teaching how to properly wear kimono, but also how to pair pieces with western clothing that is both stylish and culturally sensitive.

Modern Day Auctions & Estate Sales

Welcome to Modern Day Auctions! We specialize in Online Auctions from your home, business, or our South Norwalk showroom. For our Sellers, we offer full house estate sales in an online auction format selling everything including furniture, decorative items, outdoor garden, electronics, collectibles, fashion, art, jewelry and more. MDA can work with businesses including retail to liquidate their inventory including their furniture and fixtures. We also run multi-client online auctions from our showroom in South Norwalk. We offer in person previews here as well, by appointment. If you have one item to sell or a dozen or more, we can put them into one of our multi-client online auctions that we run 3-4 times per month. Interior designers love to sell through us as well as buy for their customers. Realtors love us too as we are a one- stop-shop for their clients to help them sell the contents of their homes in a timely manner.

Maritime Rowing Club

Maritime Rowing Club, located in Norwalk, CT, is dedicated to competitive and recreational rowing for all ages and abilities. We’re based on the scenic Norwalk River, rowing both sweep and sculling shells. Maritime Rowing Club is a team-oriented rowing club where all members work together to provide an enjoyable rowing experience for all. Since 1996, Maritime Rowing Club has offered rowing classes for all ages and skill levels, from Middle School Learn-to-Row to Masters competitive racing.

In addition to our junior and adult competitive rowing programs, Maritime offers learn-to-row classes, winter training, and summer camps for juniors.

Haven Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville hot chicken and cauliflower (“not chicken”) options, in five different spice levels, ranging from no-heat “country” to “Haven” (for the hot head). East Coast Kombucha Company, located in South Norwalk, CT is an artisanal-brewer of organic, probiotic-packed kombucha – or fermented tea. We’re committed to brewing, bottling and distributing kegs and bottles of the best-tasting kombucha available using only the finest ingredients, (locally sourced whenever possible) – with a portion of our sales being donated to local charities. Our mission is to make a positive impact on our community, our customers’ lives, our employees, and on the environment.

Visit our spectacular Brewery and Taproom, located in a historic textile factory built in 1903 – just steps away from the SONO train station and a few minutes from the SONO Collection Mall. For decades, this building housed the Park-Kit Safety Equipment Company, which manufactured First Aid kits.

Our brewery and Tasting Room is available for private parties and events. We offer creative packages where guests can do private tastings, take a behind the scenes Brewery tour and we’ll work with you to make your special occasion memorable.

We are offering free tours every Saturday at 2 pm. The tour takes about 30 minutes and we adhere to all CDC guidelines. Visitors are invited to sign up and make a reservation in advance.
