Step into the magic of the season at Norwalk’s 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza, happening Saturday, December 6 from 4–8 PM at 50 Washington Street. This beloved community celebration transforms the heart of SoNo into a winter wonderland filled with holiday cheer, local shopping, and joyful entertainment for all ages.

Browse an outdoor marketplace featuring over 25 unique local vendors offering handmade gifts, art, candles, jewelry, and festive treats. Savor delicious bites and beverages from favorite Norwalk eateries while enjoying live performances that capture the spirit of the holidays.

Gather for the tree lighting ceremony, accompanied by dazzling performances from the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts, Roton Middle School Choir, and the inspiring Ladies of Finesse!

Watch in awe as holiday characters rappel 150 feet down the SONO50 building, creating an unforgettable spectacle before Santa and Tinkerbell gather for heartwarming meet-and-greets and photo ops. Kids can also enjoy carousel rides, a trackless train, stilt walkers, goat petting, and more whimsical moments throughout the night.

The Holiday Extravaganza is where community, culture, and holiday spirit come together — the perfect kickoff to Norwalk’s festive season.

Ticketing Questions 

Do I have to buy tickets for admission?

Nope, admission to the Holiday Extravaganza is free for all!


General Questions 

May I bring a pet?

No, unfortunately pets are not allowed at the Holiday Extravaganza. 

Can I bring my drone to the event?

No. Drones are not permitted at the Holiday Extravaganza. 

What if there is bad weather?

If there is lightning and/or serious downpour, we will cancel.

Is there public transportation available?

Yep! Several WHEELS bus routes service the South Norwalk area. You can check the latest schedules and routes on the Norwalk Transit District website. There are also numerous ride sharing opportunities, including Wheels 2 U Ride Sharing for $2 a ride.

Do you have a lost and found?

Yes, check the Information Booth to see if your item was returned, or contact us during the week at 203.854.7336

Will alcohol be served at the event?

While no, the Holiday Extravaganza does not sell alcohol, there are so many bars directly in the event area that do!  Here is a list of a few:

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Most areas of the Holiday Extravaganza are wheelchair accessible. 

Do you have accessible restrooms?

Yes, we have 1 ADA accessible portable restroom located behind the food trucks.

Health & Safety 

COVID-19 

There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is highly contagious and can cause severe illness or even death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), senior citizens and individuals with underlying health conditions are particularly at risk. 

If you have symptoms like a cough or fever, please stay home.  

Remember to maintain social distancing from other guests. 

By attending the Halloween Nightfair, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with COVID-19 exposure.

Your safety is our top priority. Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will be on-site to assist with any emergencies and health-related needs. For serious emergencies, please call 911 immediately.
