Michele’s Pies

Michele’s Pies in Norwalk is nationally-renowned for their incredible, quality pies. With more than 30 flavors to choose from, the only bad part is picking what kind to get! All of the pies here are made by hand, from scratch. Just one taste and you’ll see why they’ve won so many awards. If you want a pie but don’t want to deal with the hassle of making one by hand, swing by Michele’s Pies to pick up a tasty homemade treat that is sure to delight. Michele’s Pies opened their store in 2007, but owner Michele Stuart has been cooking pies far longer than that. She grew up baking with her grandmother, who passed away in 2006. The shop is such a sweet homage to her memory, and even better, the pies are nationally famous. The pies are absolutely superb. You’ll find fruit pies, cream pies, nut pies, and even savory pies here. Made fresh from scratch with seasonal ingredients, these pies are delicious. The crispy, flaky crust is the perfect texture. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Dream is as dreamy as it sounds. Most of the pies are offered in mini 6″ and larger 9″ sizes. We won’t blame you if you want to eat the whole 9″ by yourself… it’s that good. Not a fan of pie? Michele’s Pies offers plenty of other treats! Brownies, cookies, tea breads, and more abound. The zucchini nut bread is delicious and a big hit at the local farmers markets. Whether you’re picking up a pie for a holiday dinner or just want to spoil yourself with a sweet treat, Michele’s Pies are some of the best pies in Connecticut.

Mecha Noodle Bar

Mecha means “mom and pop” in Vietnamese. We are paying homage to our upbringing and to all of the hidden gems across the country. (It should be noted that you only use the two words together [mẹ cha] when you are cursing at someone). From Vietnamese pho to Japanese ramen — we serve some of Asia’s most comforting dishes. Among other things, we do riffs on food that can be found in the streets of southeast Asia. Don’t call us “fusion” or a sushi restaurant, there are plenty of those in Connecticut. We are American-Vietnamese-Japanese-Thai-Chinese-Korean-New-England-Momofuku-Totto-and-Ippudo-inspired.
