In 2020 Safavieh Home Furnishings opened at 28 Washington St. Norwalk, CT, this 40,000  sq. foot showroom in the trendy SoNo area. Formerly the home of Klaffs, Safavieh is located in their landmark building organized around lifestyle galleries and includes a complete design center. Safavieh SoNo has the best brands from Thayer Coggin, Bernhardt, American Leather, Lee Industries, Century, Vanguard, BDI, Phillips Collection, Hickory Chair, Visual Comfort, EJ Victor, Stone International, Chaddock, Giuseppe, Global Views, Shifman Mattresses plus many more. Safavieh SoNo offers a huge selection of Safavieh world renowned rugs and Safavieh SoNo’s professional experienced design staff will provide complimentary interior design service. Safavieh SoNo is open Monday- Friday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.  Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Black by Demand Specialty Coffee & Catering

Black by Demand Specialty Coffee & Catering LLC originated in the Bronx, NY in late 2021, following a decade-long labor of love in all aspects of the specialty coffee industry. We pride ourselves on bringing guests and communities together by energizing the vibes with our mobile full-service café featuring good coffee, great espresso beverages, and even better small bites.

We are pleased to announce a special expansion to a kiosk in the South Norwalk Metro-North train station. Black by Demand will not only provide amazing coffee and treats, true to our mission of highlighting collaboration over competition, we will also showcase various guest roasters from across the African diaspora, as well as offering unique products usually not found in cafes here, such as Jamaican coffee lemonade and an assortment of patties such as jerk chicken and salmon.

We are located downstairs directly adjacent to the South/New York City-bound platform.

Sono Kimono

Sono Kimono offers vintage Kimonos, Haori jackets, Obi belts, and accessories, as well as Group or Private kimono lessons and rentals.

During the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, its founder Robyn was unable to work full-time, and wanted to get back into a hobby that sparked joy for her when she was younger. She began to study how to wear and style kimonos with a licensed kimono teacher in Japan.

Exploring the depth and breadth of the history and culture of kimono, Robyn knew she would want to share these beautiful garments with others. This hobby quickly evolved into a business that includes teaching how to properly wear kimono, but also how to pair pieces with western clothing that is both stylish and culturally sensitive.
