Norwalk Green Association

Description

The Norwalk Green section of the city is a diverse, centrally located urban neighborhood that offers a unique combination of distinctive residential and commercial buildings surrounding a beautiful, wooded two acre park which serves as the heart of the local community.

At the neighborhood’s core is the Norwalk Green Historic District, a group of 54 buildings listed in 1987 on the National Register of Historic Places, and includes St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the First Congregational Church and Mill Hill Historic Park.

In August 2017, a neighborhood group formed the Norwalk Green Association to “support local community initiatives and improve the zone’s “walkability and livability” through the expanded use of pedestrian walkways, crosswalks and bike routes throughout the Neighborhood’s streets in order to enhance safety and improve traffic flows through Central Norwalk”.

We welcome and encourage all local residents, property owners, and businesses to participate in the NGA by identifying the needs of the community and to promote awareness of this unique neighborhood in Central Norwalk.
