Serving Haitian and French specialties including fresh-made daily breads and patties, La Baguette Shop has opened a Norwalk location at 330 Westport Ave. This family-owned, French-Caribbean patisserie and boulangerie has for over 30 years served the community with authentic fresh breads, pastries, homemade drinks, and other flavors of home. Their family recipes have been passed down for generations. Specialties include paté (flaky patty pastries filled with your choice of beef, chicken, smoked herring or codfish), fritay (fried pork, beef, chicken, turkey or fish paired with plantains, fries, salad and spicy pikliz pickled cabbage), and boulette (ground beef meatballs seasoned with Haitian spices and herbs). The new Norwalk shop will provide excellent service (plus takeout or delivery) in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
