
A Journey: A One-Woman Musical Show
Friday, February 28 at 6:00 p.m.
In honor of Black History Month, the City of Norwalk, in partnership with DOLO Foundation, will celebrate the resilience and contributions of Black women throughout history. Bringing to life real historical women – from an African Queen to Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and Rosa Parks – through song, movement, and dialogue. Kimberly Wilson, a Minneapolis native, has built a dynamic career in theater, film, and touring productions. Her award-winning show has toured nationwide since 2012. In 2016, she won Best Playwright at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival for her performance. Before the show, guests can explore a variety of businesses and organizations in the City Hall Rotunda that uplift and support the community. The performance will be followed by an audience talk-back, providing an opportunity for reflection and shared storytelling.
