Sheffield Island Lighthouse Clambakes

July 11 – August 29.

Every summer, the Seaport Ferry in South Norwalk carries hundreds of hungry passengers to the historic 1868 Sheffield Island Lighthouse for the Norwalk Seaport Association’s famous Tuesday Night Clambakes. A true New England dining experience, the evening allows participants to dine in the festive tented pavilion on the Lighthouse lawn, with tours of the Lighthouse included in the cost. Trip includes: round-trip boat ride to Sheffield Island, panoramic views of Long Island Sound, tour of historic Sheffield Island Lighthouse, dinner on the Island provided by Chef Clyde Ripka of Ripka’s Beach Café. Boarding at the Norwalk Seaport Association Dock, 4 N. Water St. on Tuesdays only, departing at 6:00 p.m. Parking is available at the lot adjacent to the dock and at the Norwalk Maritime Center Garage.
