Quilting Workshop with Lizzy Rockwell at The Norwalk Art Space

Saturday, February 26, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Lizzy Rockwell, a Korry Fellow at The Norwalk Art Space, will lead a free community workshop in paper quilt design, hand stitching and fabric art drawing. At the same time, members of Peace by Piece, an ongoing intergenerational after-school art program designed by Lizzy, will host a community quilting bee. Visitors ages 8 and up are welcome to drop in to participate in these activities. Seating will be limited, so guests will be asked to rotate between stations and let others share in the process to encourage more participation. Children 11 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The Norwalk Art Space is located at 455 West Ave. (metered on-street parking available). More info at www.thenorwalkartspace.org
