Norwalk Historical Society Celebrates CT Open House Day
Saturday, June 11 from 12:00–4:00 p.m. Free admission to both Mill Hill Historic Park and the Norwalk Historical Society Museum! Experience Norwalk’s rich history with a visit to both locations. See the Norwalk Historical Society’s award-winning new exhibition! The NHS has been awarded the prestigious 2022 Award of Merit from the Connecticut League of History Organizations (CLHO) for its new exhibition, “Norwalk’s Changing Communities 13,000 BC to 1835.” The exhibition, curated by Elizabeth Pratt Fox, explores the Norwalk area’s history from the end of the Ice Age to the arrival of Indigenous Peoples, through European contact and the development of Norwalk during the 17th and 18th centuries, to the 1835 rebuilding of the Town House at Mill Hill where the exhibition is displayed. There are many interactive components that will engage visitors from children to adults. Mill Hill Historic Park is located at 2 East Wall St., only a short walk from the Norwalk Green.
