Makers’ Guild Events

Calling all makers, inventors, tinkerers, hobbyists, and artists! The Fairfield County Makers’ Guild is a non-profit, membership-based community workshop and fabrication studio that provides access to specialized tools and equipment, enabling its members to turn their ideas into reality. Join them on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. for Open Nights at 327 Main Ave., 2nd floor. Check out some of their recent makes at and mark your calendar for these upcoming special events:

Robot Light Arm: Thursday, January 18 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Scratch that itch to use a microcontroller to move around a simple robot arm based on some small servos.

Gravity, Batteries & Pulleys: Thursday, February 22 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Make a basic gravity battery with some weights and a tiny motor to bootstrap your electronics at 1g.

Pi Day Fiesta: Thursday, March 14 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.  A large party for the public to celebrate pi and pie!

LED strip PoV Display: Thursday, March 28 & Friday, March 29 at 7:00 p.m. Build an LED motion Persistence of Vision display; materials included.

Targeting Cannon: Wednesday, April 17 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Build a targeting electromechanical cannon that fires!
