Fauré Requiem
Friday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m.
The exquisite “Requiem” of French composer Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) will be performed by both adult and chorister (children’s) choirs under the direction of the church’s Director of Music, Josh Ehlebracht. The “Requiem” will feature Bel Zufferey, Soprano, and Will Doreza, Baritone. Fauré composed his Requiem in D minor, Op. 48 between 1887-1890 for a mixed choir, orchestra, and organ. Organist Isaiah Williams will accompany the St. Paul’s choir on the church’s renowned Reuter organ. Fauré, in describing his soothing Requiem, said that it “is dominated from beginning to end by a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest.” The concert is free and open to the public. You are invited to enjoy this choral masterpiece in the beautiful setting and acoustics of St. Paul’s sanctuary. A free-will donation is appreciated. Learn more at www.stpaulsnorwalk.org.
