City of Norwalk Annual Open House and Touch-a-Truck Event
Saturday, October 21, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This family-friendly event is free and includes a hands-on experience for children and demonstrations, fun giveaways, and wastewater treatment plant tours. The community will have a chance to explore City vehicles and meet members from various departments, including the Fire Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works and Operations, Health Department, Community Services Department, and more. Since this year’s Open House and Touch-a-Truck event is right before Halloween, there will be Halloween safety tips and giveaways. Come dressed in Halloween costumes! Additionally, visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items in support of the Person to Person’s Food Pantry in South Norwalk, such as peanut butter, jelly, tuna, macaroni & cheese, pasta sauce, soup and kid-friendly snacks.
