Beadworks began in 1983 when American jewelry designer Nancy Wall teamed up with the English company behind the Bead Shop in London, England. To the original concept of an open display bead store, she added her own sense of fashion and artisanship. The company has grown from its simple mail-order beginnings to multiple stores lead by Nancy’s niece and current owner Abigail Wall. Beadworks’ products are selected by Abigail Wall, an experienced jewelry maker, dedicated to providing the finest in materials to support and inspire the creation of both amateur and professional designers. While classic and traditional designs form the core range of products, contemporary fashion is s the driving force in Beadworks’ search for new products, sourcing from Europe, India, and Asia. A Washington Street anchor store, Beadworks focuses on gemstone beads, semi-precious beads, fine lampwork glass as well an eclectic and ever-changing mix of beads displayed in a pleasant and inspirational setting.
