🌳 In 2023, we also launched the new Public Tree Planting Request Form, which allows residents to make requests on where the City should plant trees across Norwalk. This is part of our effort to expand our Urban Tree Canopy, which provides residents with various health benefits, including addressing the rising concerns of extreme heat.

🌳 There are incredible benefits to planting trees! Trees produce oxygen, absorb pollutants, and filter water. They also reduce erosion and provide shade. We are also planting trees to help beautify our neighborhoods as trees can reduce stress, promote well-being, and strengthen community ties.
