Watch these creatures come to life in “Sea Monsters 4-D: A Prehistoric Adventure,” now playing at the Maritime Aquarium daily. In this 12-minute film, travel back in time to join an incredible underwater creature as she begins her journey from the safety of life in the shallows to the center of the action in the most dangerous seas in history. Explore her breathtaking world – brought to you in photorealistic animation and stunning 4-D effects – as she and her fellow ferocious sea monsters swim and slink their way through life while trying to escape their predators and win the epic fight for survival. Guests are encouraged to continue their prehistoric adventure by checking out the Aquarium’s summer exhibit, “Travel Back in Maritime,” where they can uncover fossils and learn about modern-day descendants of ancient species that still live in Long Island Sound today. In addition to “Sea Monsters 4-D: A Prehistoric Adventure,” guests can swim alongside a creature that has survived for millions of years in “Turtle Odyssey 4D,” which follows a sea turtle as she grows and navigates the dangers of life at sea. 4D Theater tickets can be purchased with or without Aquarium admission.
